Recreational League Registration Currently Underway
Children who will be at least 5 years old by 31 July 2009 are eligible to play in the EMSSC recreational soccer league. Registration is open from now through 1 August 2008 for the 2008/2009 season.

East Moline Silvis Soccer Club Recreation Program
The general purpose of the Club is to provide a coordinated soccer
program for the children of the community. The program provides for
the growth and enrichment of the total individual through quality
coaching. Our objectives is to help grow
each player's mental, social, and physical abilities to their fullest
capacity. Emphasis is placed on sportsmanship as well as on the
development of skills. The EMSSC Constitution and by-laws is a
sincere effort to promote respect for rules and authority,
good sportsmanship, and self-discipline among the contestants.
The Recreational league is for those players who enjoy the spirit
of the game but the more intense competition inherent in nor the commitment
required for participation on a travel team.
Emphasis of our recreational league is on providing a fun and structured
activity for the player to enjoy while learning the game.
A full season comprises 6 weeks in the Fall and 6 weeks in the Spring.
Teams are organized from registrations collected prior to the start
of the Fall season. A supplemental Spring registration is used to
balance teams and create additional teams for the second half of
the season.
EMSSC Travel Team players compete in the Recreation League through U12.
The Travel Team players are evenly distributed among the Recreation Teams
to create balance in team strength.
