EMSSC Field Day

EMSSC Field Day is this Saturday, August 18th. We need assistance in getting our fields ready for the season. We need to put nets on the goals, line and paint the fields, clean the concession stand, clean the bathrooms, and stake, paint and  line the new fields for our rec team practices.  This is a lot of work and the board members cannot complete it without your assistance.  NO experience necessary, but if you have participated in field day in the past, we would love to have your assistance.

August 18th:  9:00am to 11:00am

                        11:00am to 1:00pm.

We appreciate your assistance in making our soccer fields the best in the Quad Cities!.

Volunteer Schedule is now posted for Travel Families

The Volunteer Schedule is now posted under the Volunteering Tab on the web site. All Travel families are required to fill ONE duty shift per family each season.  A duty shift includes concessions, field marshal and/or field maintenance.  If you are not able to work one of these shifts, contact a board member and we will assist you in fullfilling your duty requirement.  We need your help to keep our cost affordable.  We appreciate all of our families who assist us. We look forward to a great soccer season.

Director of Coaching selection

The East Moline  Silvis Soccer Club is proud to announce we have selected Dennis King as the Director of Coaching for our Soccer Program.

The following is a letter from Coach King to the Club:

EMSSC Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Director, Marcy O’Brien, and each of the EMSSC board members for accepting my application to become the new Director of Coaches for the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club.  I would also like to thank Phil Weaver for his commitment to the EMSSC program and his dedication to building a successful soccer program over so many years.  We wish him the best at United Township High School and in all future endeavors.  I have been a part of EMSSC since I was 4 years old and I am a true product of the system that so many have worked to build and sustain over multiple generations.  The personal success I had at United Township and later at the University of Illinois at Chicago can all be tied back to EMSSC, its Recreational and Travel programs, its coaches and volunteers, and its players who surrounded me.  Like so many others, we are all a testament to this great Club and its commitment to developing not only successful soccer players, but also well rounded individuals.  I look forward to expanding on what has been put in place before me and I’m excited to be bringing a new look to the club’s player and coach development strategies.  I am committed to the growth of the club, the success and recognition of the EMSSC brand, and to the development of each and every player and coach we have wearing our logo.  I am proud to be giving back to the program that developed me and I am excited for all that is in store for the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club.  In the end, it’s all for the love of the game.  Thank you again, and I look forward to our future together.
